Configuring Capable 21C to support Multiple Merchant accounts

Abstract

Capable 21C supports the Tyro system for EFT. This article describes how to configure Capable 21C to correctly support multiple merchant accounbts.

Underlying challenge

A Tyro terminal is an external device that is connected to Australia's banking network. Using a Tyro terminal independently of Capable 21C is quite easy, and Tyro provide instruction on how to do that. Using a Tyro terminal with Capable 21C is also easy. Many offices only have a single merchant account for use with their Tyro terminal. If you have multiple merchant accounts, this article describes how to configure Capable 21C.

Resolution

Before configuring these features, it is important to enable Tyro functionality

To configure Capable 21C for multiple merchant accounts (MIDs), the following steps must be performed:

  • Go to Setup|Setup Doctor Details.
  • Double click on one of the practitioners.
  • Go to the Business tab.
  • Enter the MID (supplied by Tyro) for that practitioner.
  • Click close.
  • Repeat these steps for each practitioner.
